This is just some everyday life advice – related to home, health, kids, and just life in general. Take what you want and leave the rest.
Do you have life advice you would like to share?
Take a Sweater! – Put on a sweater when you leave the house… sometimes. At least put one in the car or carry one with you… … usually. Even if it is warm or hot during the day, it is often downright cold in the evening when the sun goes down. And, also in the grocery stores! Even on a hot, tank top and shorts day, I take a sweater into the grocery store with me, if I remember, because the milk section is c-c-c-cold.
(Note: I’m in the middle of Alberta Canada, so even on warm days, you can’t count on it staying warm. The advice might be different if you are near the equator!)
Set the Timer – If you put something in the freezer ‘just to cool it off’, like pop or beer or wine or something else that really shouldn’t freeze solid, set your oven timer. Or a timer on your phone. Or some other timer that will just keep going until you turn it off. It’s so disappointing to find a frozen beer the next day; it’s just not the same. In fact, I use the oven timer for many of my household tasks: get the laundry out of the washing machine, turn off the garden hose from watering the flowers, let the dog in, if I have to leave in half an hour (and I think I may get too immersed in a book or the internet), and many other things besides cooking and baking.
‘Til next time…
